Family, Pro, or Free? Choosing the Right WarpDesk Plan

Three plans, one household. Here's how to pick.

Free

For a one-or-two-person household with modest sharing needs. Enough credits to keep a small vault humming, ads on by default, the same core features as paid tiers.

Family

For most households. Doubles the credit stipend, unlocks larger inbox retention, and includes a bill-splitting tool that scales past two people cleanly.

Pro

For power users. Everything in Family plus larger member limits, longer activity history, priority support, and early access to new surfaces.

Deciding by usage, not features

The feature table is honest but not the right decision tool. The right question is: how often do you hit the free plan's ceiling? If never, stay free. If once a month, go Family. If weekly, go Pro.

Deciding by household size

1-2 people: Free is usually fine. 3-6 people: Family. 6+ or multi-generational: Pro.

Upgrading and downgrading

Both are one-click through the Stripe portal. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal so you don't lose paid capacity mid-period.

What all plans share

Same vault, same inbox, same RLS, same activity log, same 2FA support. The plan changes capacity, not fundamental features.

What no plan does

None of them turn on client-side E2EE (not yet), family location, or content filtering. Those aren't Pro upsells — they're not products yet.

A worked example

A family of four with three streaming services, two shared cloud plans, and a shared utility bill fits comfortably in Family and rarely hits the Pro tier's differentiators.

Cancelling

Cancel from the Stripe portal. Your data stays accessible in read-only mode long enough to export.
